Shadowbox Films is dedicated to producing character-driven documentaries that explore cultural and social issues.

Formed in 1998 by David Mehlman and Justin Schein, graduates of Stanford University's Master's program in Documentary Film and Video, Shadowbox has produced award-winning films from conception to broadcast for television, educational and corporate audiences.

Shadowbox Films has documented subjects ranging from runaway teens to rural healthcare, heroin abuse to literacy. Each film illuminates the stories of individual characters and allows audiences to identify with and understand the issues that shape people's lives.
